Your first thought may be that it's harder to stand on principle because often you find you're standing alone. That is true; people of principle often do stand alone initially.

Voting "only" is for posers!

That’s right, we’re calling you out! If you believe you’ve done your civic duty by simply going to the voting booth and getting your little “I voted” sticker…you're sadly mistaken.
“Let us contemplate our forefathers, and posterity, and resolve to maintain the rights bequeathed to us from the former, for the sake of the latter. The necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude and perseverance. Let us remember that "if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom," it is a very serious consideration ... that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event." The Founders of this Union hoped then and now beg today to “maintain the rights bequeathed to us…” Have we done a good job? If the government we have, the so-called federal government, is this government really what they envisioned when they wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Being "realistic" - a losing strategy!

Here’s my latest problem. Well, it’s not actually my “latest” problem, it’s been a problem for a long time, and I’m just now getting around to writing about it.
So, here’s my latest gripe with so-called conservatives; I’m going to start calling them the “let’s be realistic” crowd.
