Top 10 things you can do (right now!) other than swoon over your favorite candidate!

by Mark Kreslins & Joshua Lyons

#10 - Study! Know what you're talking about when you claim to support the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution; don't dishonor the Founders' sacrifice by claiming to support something you know little or nothing about. Stop speaking in platitudes; become an authority on the subject matter so you can lead others.

  • Do you know the approximate 30 enumerated powers delegate to the Federal Government in the Constitution?
  • Do you know the difference between the Federalists and the Anti-federalists?
  • Can you explain why the Incorporation Doctine shredded the federalism?
  • Turn off American Idol or any of the thousands of embarrassingly silly TV shows you're watching and pick up a book/Kindle!

#9 - Evangelize for liberty – How often do your discussions with your friends, family, co-workers descend into Anti-Obama inflamed arguments? Hint – it betrays that you're not really a Constitutionalist. Why? Because we're not in the mess we're in solely because of Obama (see #10).

#8 - Know who your State Representatives are (State, not Federal!) and if they understand their duty to push back against Washington, DC when it oversteps its constitutional boundaries by usurping authority from the states and the people.

#7 - Be humble enough to have an epiphany and allow your paradigm to shift! We did!

#6 - Read everything and anything by Thomas Woods, Kevin Gutzman, and the 10th Amendment Center.

#5 - Start listening to transformative radio shows like the Mike Church show immediately!

#4 - Listen to The Forgotten Men every Saturday and encourage your friends to do likewise.

  • "Like" our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.
  • Share our podcasts and commentaries via Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Start your own Facebook page to discuss real solutions with your friends and family.

#3 - UNDERSTAND THE INCORPORATION DOCTRINE!!!

#2 - Stop spending your limited time focusing on the national debate (i.e. DC). It's important to stay tuned in to really important Constitutional issues (e.g. war, loss of liberty, etc.). But when it comes to the constant blather from the president/candidates, just disregard it! DC's sole importance should be to continuously remind us that it will stop at nothing to circumvent the constitutional limits of its power. We all have limited time to engage politics. Instead of finding out about what our president or the GOP candidates are selling you, take the majority of your time to learn about and help implement "state-based solutions." If we acknowledge the disgusting truth that DC will never fix DC, what makes more sense than spending your time focusing on solutions that can make a difference?

#1 - Finally...don't count on others to lead...become the leader you've been looking for!

It is time for the people to wake from their slumber and engage in the arena of battle; neither with the cutlass nor rifle, but with sovereign state power and the wind of inalienable rights at their back. For us and our posterity...there will be LIBERTY!
