It’s time to abolish the States.
Well, after three years of trying to convince conservatives of the moral superiority of federalism, diversity, the supremacy of unalienable rights, consent of the governed, etc, the real solution to the mess we have is clear!
The Forgotten Men along with Mike Church, Tom Woods, Kevin Gutzman, Don Livingston, Michael Boldin, Mike Maharrey, Brian Brawdy, and many many others…have promoted all of the transcendent principles observed by our Founders.
Therefore, in keeping with the desire to propose way outside the box solutions, TFM propose we call a Constitutional Convention as soon as possible to introduce, pass and ratify the following Amendment to the Constitution:|
Amendment to the Constitution of the soon to be Not United States! Resolved: We the People believe that the States are an obstacle to a more efficient national government. That the States do not have any role in protecting unalienable rights and they are an impediment to nationalization. Resolved: We the People believe that the notion of federalism is antiquated and obsolete to a modern global economy in which our nation must operate. Resolved: We the People believe that State sovereignty creates a hostile environment between We the People. Resolved: We the People have grown to a point where our understanding of final authority rests with the Supreme Court and other national governmental agencies and entities. Resolved: We don’t care about stinking oaths anymore. So, from this point forward, the new oath shall read: “I, nationally elected DC’ver _________________ (fill in name) do not swear to hold to anything I may or may not have said on the campaign trail. My sole goal is to redistribute money collected by the IRS to whatever populations will get me the most votes…whether it’s corporations, certain income classes, or people dependent on the “government” for sustenance. So help me…me!” Therefore: We the People of the separate States do hereby relinquish our sovereignty to the Federal Government. Therefore: We the People hereby terminate all State boundaries, State governments and State Constitutions. Therefore: We the People desire to be referred to as a nation, and the government to be called a national government, replacing the silly and antiquated “federal” government. There is nothing federative about our current national government, so let’s just live in the real world! Get with it Mark, Joshua and Scott!! Therefore: We the People reject the idea of federalism and now believe that freedom is best understood via national elected representatives. Therefore: We the People eliminate the Electoral College and believe solely in popular elections. Therefore: We the People hereby ban all vestiges of the liberty movement including, but not limited to: The Forgotten Men show, The Mike Church Show, The Tenth Amendment Center, The Liberty Classroom, all books by Professor’s Woods, Gutzman, Livingston and any other academics writing about liberty or who dare challenge the status quo. We further ban all facebook sites like the Founders Revolution, Brian Brawdy and many many others who insist on those silly quaint ideas the Founders, and Ratifiers believed. Only the Heritage Foundation and the National Republican Party will be allowed on facebook from this point forward. Therefore: We the People, from this day forward, intend to focus exclusively on the candidates for national elected office with the hope of getting enough of them in power to rule over the minority. And should the minority get out of line, We the MAJORITY of the People will use whatever force is necessary to make the minority comply with national edicts. In Convention on the _____ day of our OverLords, 20__ |
The Forgotten Men are often chided, mocked, ridiculed for not living in “reality!” We’re told time and time again that our ideas are old and we just need to get where the rest of the “American” people are. Forget about principles we’re told…follow the herd because the herd must be right.
So, our proposal above merely reflects the thinking of our modern day conservative realist, so we say, let’s just get it over with. Let’s make the herdisms above law! The out of touch throwback like TFM can finally stop their blather about truth…as in transcendent truth. Yea, big government conservatives say; “We’ll knock them right off their high horses and replace them with people like Romney and Allen West.”
